RACE REPORT
At flag fall Rosebud cut out the early pace from Justice to Ireland and Miss Pitt, with Theodolite and Hospodar just in front of Justitia. This order was maintained until they reached the mile post when Theodolite began taking closer order in second, while Justitia and Hospodar each improved their position. Rounding the bend and on towards the chains, Justice to Ireland and Miss Pitt were both spent forces, while Hospodar and Theodolite began forging clear of Rosebud. It became obvious to observers in the stand that Theodolite was going the better of the pair and won readily by 3 parts of a length with Rosebud a bad third, Miss Pitt fourth and Justitia fifth. |
